TYMO Ionic Plus Hot Brush Review: My New Hair Hero?

Okay besties, I need to spill the tea on this little gadget that just completely changed my morning routine.

I finally caved and bought the TYMO Ionic Plus. Honestly? Best impulse purchase I’ve made in months.

First of all, can we talk about how sleek this thing looks? It’s giving futuristic hair wand vibes — matte black with those glowing red LED bristles that make it look like it’s straight out of a sci-fi movie. I felt fancy just unboxing it.

What actually surprised me though is how easy it is to use. I have thick, stubborn hair that usually laughs at hot brushes. But this one? It glides through like butter. The ionic technology really does seem to cut down on frizz (my flyaways have been suspiciously well-behaved this week), and my hair feels noticeably smoother and shinier after just one pass.

The heat gets plenty hot (there’s a little indicator that lights up red when it’s ready), but it doesn’t feel like it’s frying my strands. I’ve been using it on maximum heat and it still gives me that bouncy, salon-style volume at the roots without any weird creases or “I just straightened my hair with a brush” look.

Pros:

•  Super lightweight and easy to maneuver (my arms don’t die halfway through)

•  The bristles are firm but gentle — no pulling or snagging

•  Heats up crazy fast

•  Actually reduces frizz (this is not marketing talk, I swear)

•  Cute enough that I don’t mind leaving it on my vanity

Would I buy it again? 100%. Would I recommend it to my fellow lazy girls who want good hair but hate spending 45 minutes styling? Also yes.

If you’re thinking of grabbing one, click my link below and you’ ll score 20% off your order. My hair has never been this cooperative on a Monday morning.

Rating: 4.7/5 (exactly what they claim, and I’m not even mad about it)
